pantry weed killer

I've been looking for a simple cost effective weed killer that is suitable to use around the veggie patch. So I jumped on line and came across a "recipe" that you can make out of ingredients most of us have in the kitchen pantry.

1 cup white vinegar
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon dish washing liquid.

How simple is that? Just add it to a spray bottle and give it a good shake to dissolve the salt. The dish washing liquid helps the vinegar and salt to stick to the foliage.

Take a look at the results. The shot on the left was taken before the spray was applied. The shot on the right was taken the same day, after about 8 hours of sun light. I'm really impressed with the results. Give it a go. It does work.
